Cottage in Cordoba, Villarrubia

This lovely cottage is part of a charming and tranquil situated cortijo with two other self-contained accommodations: the Main House with ref nr. 005a and Casa 005c. The accommodations share an inviting pool and plenty garden space. With the historic city of Córdoba at 15 minutes drive, this is the perfect spot for a holiday that combines cultural visits with sunny relaxing.

This peaceful cottage is situated at the foot of the Sierra Morena mountain range, at 2,5 km distance of the village Villarrubia. The monumental city of Cordoba is only 16 km away. With lots of space around and no traffic, this is the ideal option for families with children. The attractive swimming pool of 10 by 5 metres is shared with the other guest houses and has a nice, flower-covered pergola. The friendly owners live in the same plot and are devoted to ecological agriculture. They are happy to show you the cave, an ancient Arabic quarry. The elevated castle of Almodovar del Rio, a 10 minutes drive, is another option that speaks to the imagination.

The accommodation is all on one floor and consists of an open plan living / dining room with simple, rustic furniture throughout. The decoration of ochre coloured walls and a terracotta tiled floor give this property a very Andalusian touch. The living room has a wood burning stove, 2 sofa-beds and a rocking chair. The kitchen comes with hob with 4 rings, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The lovely bedroom has a double bed. On request, two additional personas can sleep on the sofa beds (extra charge).
