Discover this attractive south-facing villa, nestled within the Sierra de Almijara Natural Park — a truly unspoilt setting where peace and silence still reign. The surrounding area is remarkably diverse, combining a stunning coastline with high mountain peaks, dramatic cliffs, deep ravines, and picturesque rivers — all within the same region.
Location and outside area
This charming villa enjoys a privileged position in the spectacular scenery of the Sierra de Almijara Natural Park, offering a unique and tranquil rural retreat. Located a few kilometres east of Maro, a country road descends into the beautiful Río de la Miel valley. After approximately 2.5 km, the final 500 metres are along an unpaved track. This section includes some tight bends without guardrails; although not steep, it may not suit less confident drivers.
The villa features an inviting outdoor area with a private swimming pool (8m x 4m), surrounded by a variety of trees, plants, and flowers. A built-in barbecue makes al fresco dining on the shaded veranda effortless, while patio furniture and sun loungers provide the perfect setting to relax.
The area is ideal for walkers and nature lovers. After exploring the valley, you might enjoy a scenic walk along the cliffs of Maro or follow a route leading to the former sugar factory, part of the region’s industrial heritage. There are many more well-documented walking routes available through the apps Wikiloc and Alltrails.
For those who prefer the sea, you can explore hidden coves just outside the valley (approx. 3 km away) or visit the more expansive beaches of Maro (5 km) and Nerja (9 km).
Please note: due to the hilly terrain, mobile phone coverage can be irregular, although a signal is usually available from certain نقاط in the garden.
Inside and lay-out
The villa offers spacious accommodation, all on one level, decorated in a classic Spanish style. The cosy living and dining area features two sofas, an open fireplace, and satellite TV. A breakfast bar separates the living space from the well-equipped kitchen, which includes a ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher.
The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, basin, and WC. A second double bedroom also benefits from an en-suite shower room with basin and WC. The third and fourth bedrooms are twin rooms. A third bathroom, with a shower over the bath, basin, and WC, is available for shared use.

With glorious views across the enchanting landscape and surrounding hills, this is the perfect villa for summer living! The interior has been tastefully furnished with a rustic style living/dining room, a large, well equipped kitchen, and even a whirlpool in one of its bathrooms!
Location and outside area
Situated in peaceful surroundings, this charming two storey villa is set in a walled garden within a short drive from Burriana beach (2 km) and Nerja's shops and restaurants (2 km). The delightful, garden with lawn features a sun terrace with a swimming pool (8x4 m; 1,10 - 1,80 m deep). A pleasant dining corner with barbecue kitchen and furniture provides the ideal spot for your alfresco dinners. A few steps lead to the veranda of the house where you have another nice little terrace that with views out to Nerja and the Mediterranean. Just an hour from here, you'll be visiting Granada's Alhambra palace or the Málaga's Gibralfaro castle. If you don't mind driving, visit the beautiful inland cities such as Seville and Córdoba.
Inside and lay-out
GROUND FLOOR: A very comfortable living/dining room is rustically decorated with an open fireplace, dining table for 8, sofa and satellite-TV. The kitchen is brand new and very well equipped with a ceramic hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. There is also a wonderfully tiled shower room with WC and wash basin on the ground floor.
LOWER GROUND FLOOR: The 4 bedrooms on this floor sleep 8 persons: 2 doubles and 2 twins, all nicely appointed with a colorful decoration and each provided with a large wardrobe. The is a full bathroom with a whirlpool bath and shower-over, wash basin and wc.

Luxury villa with private pool in Nerja centre
Imagine: step out the door, turn left, walk 80 metres and... lay down on the beach! Alternatively, you may also sit down at a terrace for a cold sangria! It's all possible: this wonderful villa is located in calle Carabeo, in the very heart of Nerja. You will have your own private pool with a sun terrace while enjoying magnificent views out to the beach and the Mediterranean.
Location and outside area
No rental car needed at this villa: it's only a 2 minute walk to restaurants, shops, tapas bars, and the beaches such as playa Carabeillo and playa Carabeo. Still the house does have its own private parking. In case you prefer to visit the highlights of Andalusia without driving then you can book a guided excursion or take public transport at the bus station only 800 m away. The villa is provided with a spacious terrace with sun loungers and private pool (6x8 m) and a smaller cocktail pool (You may ask what a cocktail pool is? Well, a cocktail pool is simply a pool providing the perfect place to lounge and have a cocktail or two.) A large sun screen covers the dining area making it a perfect spot to enjoy a lunch in the shade; a barbecue and patio furniture are provided. A few steps down from the sun terrace you will find a garden with lawn and exceptional views to the beach below. At the end of the garden there is a lovely chill-out area with garden chairs with ocean views to the Balcón de Europa.
For families with children it will be good to know that there is also a shared pool (visible on one of the pictures) where the kids can make new friends. On the first floor is another sun terrace with the same splendid sea views, only accessible through the double bedroom.
Notes:
* The City Council of Nerja has the intention to cut Carabeo Street with a poller in the near future. At this moment we do not know if the street, and thus the parking, will be accessible for the guests, since there is a lack of information on the part of the City Council. The community of property owners is claiming that access will be granted but it is soon to know if this will be solved in a positive way. In case access to the parking of the villa finally would not be possible, then we nor the property owner can not be held responsible. Should this happen, then you can park your car at "Parking Carabeo", a very large parking lot just behind Calle Carabeo, at 3 minutes walk. There is a special price for 7 days (please ask us for approximate prices).
* In the second week of October, lasting from 4 to 5 days, you will be able to attend the Feria de Nerja (Nerja fair). For the duration of the fair, the fairgrounds in the centre of Nerja are covered in rows of casetas (individual decorated marquee tents which are temporarily built on the fairground). During the fair, you will find people (many ladies and some men in traditional flamenco outfit arriving on horse) partying and dancing "Sevillanas", drinking Jerez sherry, or manzanilla wine, and eating tapas. So, this is an attractive event, but it also has to consequences that may not be so attractive: The private parking next to the villa will not be available from a few days days before and during the fair because the calle Carabeo will not be accessible. If you bring a car, you can try to find a spot in the surroundings or we can offer you a free parking at Marina Turquesa apartments (at 1,5 km from the villa). You may suffer nuisance from the noise of fair (music etc). We estimate this will not affect you very much as the villa is at a prudent distance from the area, but we are not able to guarantee anything.
Inside and lay-out
The villa is built on two floors and comfortably furnished with good taste and marble floors. On the ground floor is a luminous living room with large size LCD-TV with DVD and satellite reception. From the living room you have sea views and direct access to the sun terrace. The living room is connected to a dining-corner equipped with an open fire place and to an open space kitchen furnished with a ceramic hob, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and fridge/freezer. The washing machine is located in the laundry room where you will also find an iron and ironing board. On the ground floor you will find a shower room (with WC and washbasin) and a twin bedroom with direct access to the sun terrace and marvellous ocean views.
On the first floor there is a spacious master bedroom with a large walk-in wardrobe and a double bed. The ensuite bathroom is equipped with an over bath shower (with views to the Balcón de Europa!), WC, and basin. The third bedroom is provided with a double bed, a large LCD-TV, and a spacious private sun terrace with sea views. A bathroom with a double-sized bath, shower, WC, and 2 washbasins corresponds to this bedroom. The fourth bedroom is a twin that makes use of the fourth bathroom, fully equipped with over bath shower, WC, and basin.
