This lovely rural house is set in luxuriant green surroundings, 15 minutes by car from the city of Ronda. There are 3 self-contained units: the main-house with 3 bedrooms on the ground floor and 2 identical apartments on the first floor. This makes the property ideal for a large family who wishes to holiday together, yet maintain a certain degree of privacy.
Location and outside area
This ancient two-storey traditional farmhouse is more than 100 years old and has been recently restored. Located about 500 m away from the village of Cuevas del Becerro and neighbouring the forest stream Arroyo de la Cueva, this property offers a really beautiful environment partly due to the forest stream irrigating the holm oaks and walnut trees. Thanks to the vegetation, the house enjoys good privacy and precious shade in summertime. The swimming pool (7x4 m; 1.50 - 1.90 m deep) is on the upper part of the estate, surrounded by vegetation, providing a private and quiet place to rest. Each unit has a terrace with patio furniture. The main house has a large terrace where 14 persons can dine together.
In Cuevas del Becerro you will find all the services you need. The city of Ronda (16 km) is only a 15-minute drive away, whilst the bustling beaches of the Costa del Sol are about a 1-hour drive away. The limestone mountains that rise opposite this property are the last walls of the Antequera Sierra massif. They continue into the Serranía de Ronda where wild goats roam, and imperial eagles and griffon vultures soar. Please note: road noise may be heard from the terrace and the pool area. The traffic is not heavy though.
Inside and lay-out
The house has three self-contained units. It is ideal for 2 or 3 families who holiday together but still want to preserve a degree of privacy. The ground floor (MAINHOUSE) sleeps 6 persons and the first floor consists of two nice independent apartments (APARTMENT 1 & 2), each sleeping 4 persons, for a total of 14 people. The interior has gable ceilings with beams and terracotta flooring. The rooms are spacious and bright; the atmosphere is cosy. The ground floor unit has a spacious, bright and sunny porch terrace. The bedrooms are roomy. They have wrought-iron beds, plenty of light and let in the refreshing rural atmosphere.
MAINHOUSE (6 Persons): an open-plan living/dining room with an open fireplace and television. It has a fully equipped kitchen: washing machine, refrigerator/freezer and microwave. There are 3 bedrooms: a double and 2 twin bedrooms, and one bathroom and one shower room.
APARTMENTS (4 persons each): the apartments are very similar and have an open-plan living/dining room with an open fireplace and television. It has a fully equipped kitchen: washing machine, refrigerator/freezer and microwave. There are two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and one bathroom. There is central heating throughout.
