Holiday home with splendid views in Nerja, Malaga

Excellent location, a skin friendly pool, air conditioning, WIFI, a safebox...

This small, welcoming cottage is located in a residential area called "Cortijos de San Rafael", in between the popular seaside resort of Nerja (3,5 kms) and the unspoilt village of Frigiliana. The house enjoys a quiet location, yet is within easy reach of the road between Nerja and Frigiliana. The private pool has an eco-friendly purification system. Air conditioning and wifi internet is provided!

Location and outside area

The entrance to the house is via a spacious, sunny patio which is made of hand-crafted bricks. It is full of flowerpots and there is a little garden on the right hand side. The wooden door (which is painted blue to match the window frames for a truly Mediterranean feel) leads to the dining room, kitchen, lounge and bathroom. A large glass door leads to a spacious terrace with patio furniture and barbecue. The terrace is covered by a pergola and you will enjoy with nice views towards the sea, the countryside and the mountains. The position of this terrace is ideal both for summer and winter stays. The private pool (6m x 3m x 1.4/1.8 deep) is equipped with a chemical-free, ionization system, friendly for skin and environment! At the end of the pool there is a beautiful hand-made mosaic, created by a local artist. Its' theme and name is SOL (sun). The outdoor furniture consists of sun loungers, a table and a large sun shade.

Inside and lay-out

The dining room with its table and four chairs has views of the patio at the entrance. In the lounge there is a comfortable sofa, a practical, comfortable armchair, a coffee table, and a sideboard with TV (English channels are available), DVD, & CD/radio (with a selection of films and music). There is also a wood-burning stove. The sunny master bedroom on the ground floor (with a double bed, wardrobe and bedside tables), has special feel. The original headboard was designed and made by a local artist using materials such as hand-forged iron, wood and stone. This bedroom gets plenty of light through the glass door, with a view of the huge terrace overlooking the main house where there is an ancient Algarrobo (Carob, a protected tree native to the area).
From the living room, a staircase leads to the second bedroom with two single beds, wardrobe and bookcase with many Spanish and English books. This bedroom has a pretty ensuite bathroom with shower, basin and WC. The practical and well-equipped kitchen consists of a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, mini oven, butane gas hob, kettle, coffee machine, iron and ironing board, extractor hood, smoke detector, juicer, and everything you need for your holiday enjoyment.
The bathroom is decorated with hand finished tiles and consists of a wash basin, WC, and a shower (hair dryer included). The water is heated by solar panels. The washing machine is placed in a utility room. The cottage also offers attractive extras such a hot and cold air conditioner, a safe box, and broadband internet access for guests who bring their own laptop (no extra charge). In addition, our guests also have a designated private parking space.

- A WiFi Internet connection is available (free of charge).

- Air conditioning is available in the living room. In order to promote responsible consumption of air conditioning (hot/cold), the cost of electricity is included up to 150 kw / week. If this consumption is exceeded, a supplement of EUR 0.30 per kw would be charged (on departure in cash).
