With nothing more than the distant tinkling sound of goat bells likely to break the peace and quiet, this is truly the place for total rest and relaxation - an attractive cottage with old charm set in a countryside surrounded by avocado and olive groves with magnificent views. What more could you possibly ask?
Location and outside area
Fernando and Angela, the owners of this lovely countryside villa, wanted their newly built house to look like a true Andalusian cottage. They did not choose the easy way; they gave the walls that characteristic irregular shape of the old farmhouses, built beamed ceilings and a pebble stone terrace. The private pool (8m x4m; 1,20m - 1,90m deep), set in a structure of natural stone, is another example of the owners' intention to give it all an attractive look. The surrounding sun terrace is provided with 2 sun loungers and offers fantastic panoramic views over the mountains and the village of Frigiliana out to the Mediterranean. On both the east and west side of the cottage, you’ll find a relaxing terrace for sun and shade, surrounded by a garden with lawn and lots of flowers, plants, and trees. You will find dining amenities on this terrace.
This is a very quiet place, an oasis of calm in the middle of the countryside, yet you can drive to the village of Frigiliana (9 km) in 15 minutes or visit the nearby beaches of Nerja (15 km). The surroundings also call for a visit to the white villages of the Axarquia such as Cómpeta, famous for its sweet Muscatel wine. Interesting cities such as Granada and Malaga, can be reached within a 1.5 hour drive. The last km to the villa is a concrete mountain track, not dangerous and not curvy, but a bit steep at some points.
Inside and lay-out
The property has been built in a traditional Andalusian style, with terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and an open-plan layout. From the sitting corner, provided with satellite-TV, DVD player, and a wood burning stove, it’s just one step down to the dining room and kitchen well equipped with refrigerator/freezer, 2 ringed vitro hob, microwave, and dishwasher. The washing machine is in a utility area. On the ground floor you will also find a shower room with WC. A staircase leads to a split-level bedroom with a double bed and, separated by a closet, two additional single beds (these 2 extra persons can be accommodated upon request, with an additional charge).

At this superb cottage, the atmosphere is light and airy, with a front terrace and a barbecue for your meals outside. Beautifully located on a hillside, this Andalusian cottage boasts unforgettable views of the surrounding countryside and down to the sea. Comfortably furnished, this villa promises a relaxing holiday.
Location and outside area
Situated in a unique, elevated position, at 5.3 km from whitewashed Frigiliana, this casita offers incredible views. From Frigiliana, a mountain road leads north to the village of Torrox. After approximately 3 km, a winding paved track with some steep parts leads down to the property, giving it a private and exclusive ambiance (a car with a stronger motor is recommended). The house has a lovely sun terrace with white pebble stone details surrounding an inviting pool of 6x4 m and 1.50 – 1.80 m deep. In the front, there is a veranda terrace with splendid sea views. A built-in barbecue and sun loungers are provided.
The area, especially the Sierra Tejeda (mountain range) to the north, is very popular for hikers and bird watchers. Horse riding is also one of the many activities you can practice nearby. For a day trip, there are many possibilities, such as the cities of Granada, Malaga or Ronda. The beaches of Nerja (12 km) are just a 15-minute drive away.
Inside and lay-out
The cottage is furnished in a rustic style with several decoration elements in blue and white. The property is practically laid out with a cozy open-plan living room that mixes with the dining area and kitchen. The living area comes with a wood burning stove, 2 sofas, and satellite TV with DVD player. The kitchen is smartly furnished with a dining table for 4 person, vitro hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, small electric oven and all kinds of kitchen utensils. The washing machine is placed in a utility room. There are a double and a twin bedroom, sharing a shower room with wash basin and WC.

This villa reunites all ingredients for an ideal vacation. An attractive private pool with south-facing sun terrace, fantastic views and a wonderful veranda for your alfresco dinners. Inside, you’ll find comfortably furnished rooms, all on one floor.
Location and outside area
The villa nestles on a hillside in a dominant position, providing a wonderful outside area, quiet and unbeatable views. The private pool (6m x 3m long and 1.2 – 1.6m deep) is surrounded by a sunny terrace providing the same unique views and comes complete with sun loungers. From the terrace, a few steps lead up to the barbecue corner where a loquat tree gives shade for your outside meals. Another stairs give access to the lovely first floor terrace, provided with covered pergola, while overlooking the olive groves and the Mediterranean. The location is very peaceful and a 5 – 10 minutes’ drive away from Frigiliana (6.8 km). Nerja, with its famous beaches and humming town centre, is 15-20 minutes away (13.6 km). The house is accessed by a surfaced country track.
Inside and lay-out
The accommodation is on the first floor and reached by stairs (below is a storage room, not for use by guests). A very comfortable villa with all rooms on one level and furnished in a pretty, traditional style throughout. The accommodation features a lounge/dining room with open fire place, 2 sofas, dining corner, TV and WiFi connection. The open- plan kitchen is equipped with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. There is a double and a twin bedroom, both sharing a bathroom with bath tub/shower over, single wash basin, WC.

We took our 2 year old little boy with us who loved running around the spacious outside area and swimming in the fantastic pool. The house and kitchen has everything you need and the owners of the place are super friendly and respond right away (be nice to them, they are great!!) Since the place is approx. 15 min far from Frigiliana, it is overall very calm and has a very relaxing atmosphere. However, a car is definitely needed. Last but not least: we are definitely coming back here at some point and: YES, the place REALLY looks like the pictures that you can see in the offer!

Der Garten ist eine richtige Pracht und erfreut das Auge tagtäglich von neuem. Im Haus ist die Einrichtung typisch spanisch und bis ins Detail auf Landhaus getrimmt. Sehr hübsch. Wir haben hier zu zweit Mitte Juni 2019 zwei Wochen Ferien verbracht und uns perfekt erholt. Ausser den ca. 5 Autos pro Tag hört man hier nichts ausser Vogelgezwitscher, Ziegenglöcklein und vielleicht mal einen Campesino der in der Ferne in den Plantagen arbeitet. Herrlich ruhig und erholsam. Die Gastgeber Fernando/Angela sind sehr freundlich, pünktlich und äusserst zuverlässig. Sie reagieren innerhalb von sehr kurzer Zeit, falls Fragen/Probleme da sind. Absolut empfehlenswert und jederzeit gerne wieder.

Das Haus und Gelände sind sehr gepflegt und vor allem der Außenbereich ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail angelegt. Wir habe dort sehr viel Zeit verbracht...

We willen graag laten weten dat we het erg naar ons zin hebben gehad in dit huis. Rust en privacy is wat we wilden en hebben gekregen. Over het weggetje langs het huis komt slechts een paar keer per dag een auto van de lokale bevolking of een andere see more
We willen graag laten weten dat we het erg naar ons zin hebben gehad in dit huis. Rust en privacy is wat we wilden en hebben gekregen. Over het weggetje langs het huis komt slechts een paar keer per dag een auto van de lokale bevolking of een andere vakantieganger, voor de rest is het stil. Het zwembad was ook eind oktober heerlijk (rond de 23 graden) en welkom en het weer was prima. Misschien is het goed te vermelden dat de deur die je ziet op een van de foto's behoort bij het schuurtje waar Fernando (eigenaar) wat spulletjes heeft liggen. Het lijkt op de foto net of het van de buren is. Fernando maakt zelf een Cabernet Sauvignon en die mag er echt zijn. Hij heeft een opbrengst van 300 flessen per jaar. Voor de rest klopt het dat de bedden aan de harde kant zijn. Ik maakte daar een opmerking over en Fernando riep direct 'die zijn volgend jaar nieuw en beter'. Het huis en vooral ook de tuin hebben alle tekenen van een liefdevolle zorg.

Die Villa ist wunderschön, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, uns hat es an nichts gefehlt! Fernando hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen, leider spricht er nur Spanisch und wir kaum; aber mit Wörterbuch und Zeichensprache hat die Verständigung perfekt geklappt! Nochmal Danke an Fernando, auch für den guten Hauswein! Das Anwesen liegt in absoluter Ruhe, die Aussicht auf Frigiliana ist wunderschön. Der Garten, mit vielen Früchten ist super gepflegt, das Pool super sauber und wird regelmäßig gereinigt. Rund ums Haus hat man viele Sitzmöglichkeiten, in der Sonne, im Schatten wie es einem gefällt! Besonders schön ist auch der Grill, der macht den Küchenherd fast überflüssig! Wir waren sicher nicht das letzte Mal in dieser schönen Unterkunft, Danke an Casitas Select für die problemlose Abwicklung und den netten eMail-Kontakt, Danke an Fernando und Angela für die schöne, erholsame Zeit, wir werden euch gerne weiterempfehlen! |

Einziges Manko ist m.E. dass bei Regen draussen keine dichte Überdachung vorhanden ist, man kann sich somit nur im Haus aufhalten.
Fernando ist einfach nur Spitze (giesst die Blumen und hilft bei Problemen). Er hat uns wunderbar mit frischen Obst aus dem Garten und selbst gemachtem Rotwein versorgt. Vielen Dank nochmal dafür! |
